What Are Landlord Gas Safety Inspections?
A landlord gas safety inspection is a document issued by a Gas Safe Registered Engineer. These records are put into place to ensure that appliances are working safely and in accordance to manufacturers requirements. They also guard against the dangers of carbon monoxide. The certificate is valid for a year from the date it is issued.
Because of the dangers of Carbon Monoxide, we at Core Heating strongly recommend that you install a carbon monoxide alarm giving you, and your tenants, peace of mind. Please ask if you are interested in purchasing an alarm.
I am a Landlord in Bristol / Bath – Do I need a service as well as a Landlord Gas Safety Inspection?
Having a service alongside a landlord gas safety inspection isn’t necessarily a requirement by law. However, it is beneficial to have an annual service as it provides a health check for your boiler. Ensuring that your boiler operates properly, not just safely, could prevent costly repairs in the future.
