At this uncertain time, we want you to know that we are here to help you stay safe whilst being at home

Whilst there is a lot of uncertainty around us with the current COVID-19 pandemic, we, as always, want to help guide you with your heating and hot water requirements in the best way that we can. To do this, we have highlighted our work procedure during this time.

Our procedure whilst working in people’s homes during COVID-19:

As a gas engineer, we will continue to carry out your heating and hot water maintenance in people’s homes providing that we are well and have no symptoms. This also applies to the customer and those who are also living in the household.

Before entering your home, we will sanitise our hands and we will continue to do so regularly. We will continue to wear a face covering and maintain a safe distance from any household occupants.

No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless your work is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repair.

If we are displaying symptoms, however mild, we will not turn up on site.

Advice for landlord gas safety checks

Gas Safe advise landlords that they still have the responsibility, and legal duty, to ensure that their annual Gas Safety Inspections are carried out and kept up to date. We strongly recommend that, with this ever changing situation, landlords are well informed and, therefore, we encourage you to visit the Gas Safe website on a regular basis.
